Aren't all adhesives basically the same?  

Stampin' Up! offers such a wide variety of excellent adhesives for your card making, scrapbooking, and paper crafting projects, I've decided to share this discussion to clear up some of the murky waters of "Adhesives" for you.

Ever wonder what adhesive is the "right" one for the job?  Today's tip is all  about that, highlighting each of the adhesives Stampin' Up! has available and their best uses .....

2-Way Glue Pen (#100425, $4.50)

Permanent or temporary adhesive; temporary if you let glue dry first, permanent if you immediately adhere.  It's blue when wet, clear when dry.  Dries quickly.  Has chisel tip for detailed placement.  Perfect for small touches of glitter and all-purpose glueing.  Washes off skin with soap and water.  Acid free.

SNAIL Permanent Adhesive (#104332, $7)

Double-sided, permanent adhesive.  Easily applies a controlled amount of adhesive directly to your project, so your hands and work area never get sticky.  Refills available.  Acid free.

SNAIL Adhesive Refill (#104331, $4.50)

Don't buy a new SNAIL Adhesive dispenser, just refill the one you have!  Acid free.

Fast Fuse Adhesive (#129026, $10)

This super-strength adhesive bonds instantly and neatly.  Safe for memory preservation projects; great for 3D projects.  It's so easy to apply when assembling your favorite 3-D creations, boxes, and bags.   Refills available.  Acid free.

Fast Fuse Refill (#129027, $7.50)

Refill your Fast Fuse Adhesive applicator.  Acid free.

Stampin' Glue Sticks (#130654, $4)

Add glue anywhere with this diamond-shaped glue stick.  Great for reaching those tight corners!  Dries quickly.  Two sticks per pack.  Acid free.  Shaped packaging prevents rolling away, so there's no "chasing".  ;)

Crystal Effects (#101055, $6.25)

Create a glossy, lacquered look over images, paper, anything.  Also works great as an adhesive to attach buttons and other heavier embellishments.  Try it, and love it!  Dries completely within an hour, depending on how thickly it is applied.  Water based for quick and easy cleanup.  Acid free.

Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430, $4)

Psssst!  I should own "stock" in Stampin' Up!'s Stampin' Dimensionals .... I never order "just one package".  LOL    Use the entire page, including side-strips for sure!  Need a skinnier piece?  Snip them in half easily!  Double-sided adhesive foam dots add depth and dimension.  Instant bond.  Pack of 300 1/16" diameter dots.  Acid free.

Mini Glue Dots (#103683, $5.25)

Super sticky, instant dots of adhesive.  No fumes, no mess, no drying time.  Holds bows, 3-D flowers, and heavier embellishments.  Box of 300 3/16" diameter dots.  "Essentials" in my supplies box!

Multipurpose Liquid Glue (#110755, $4)

I adore this glue!  It's one of my primary adhesives here in the studio, and is a part of my new-visitors supplies kit.  A  crafter's dream glue!  Multipurpose Liquid A little smear does so much more than you would expect, and holds card layers together beautifully.  It also adheres glitter and other embellishments.  Strong bond; dries clear.  Has fine tip for details, broad tip for large areas.  Acid free.
