Remarkable in Stencils

At last, at last .... Spring 2016!
Still, my friend and fellow stamper in New England shared a picture on FB of the day's snowfall ... Aaaack! Color me thankful for no snow here on my little piece of the planet.

Color!  This week's CAS (Clean and Simple) challenge at SCS features using the color 'green' ...  Yay!  I'm a life-long lover of many shades of green.  Just 2 or 3 weeks ago I was outside eagerly checking bare little trees for any signs of green that might be building in baby buds.  {A little like watching the oven to see if yummy cookies are nearly ready .. }

Pear Pizzazz is a very pretty Spring green, and often one of my choices for foliage, but for this challenge, I kept it as the only color other than neutrals ... even for this blossom from the Remarkable You stamp set.
I was thinking of those beautiful creamy-colored orchids with a smattering of light green when I reached for my Aqua Painters to begin coloring.  Okay ... so this isn't an orchid ... LOL

Recently I've been playing around with creating my own backgrounds.  For this card, I simply used a very light touch with Pear Pizzazz ink on a sponge quarter  through one of the 4 designs in the Happy Patterns Decorative Masks stencils.  Psssst!  If you haven't yet allowed yourself to discover the fun of using stencils, please consider gifting yourself with an inexpensive package of stencils, break out some sponges or daubers or paints, etc. and 'play for the trash'.  You may very well find yourself enjoying a new addition to your creativity!

Taking Responsibility!

I know that I'm a good person ... but ... I did drive out-of-state last weekend without having made or sent a due-right-then birthday greeting.  Okay ... Back in Texas now, and I'm taking responsibility for that bit of "slacking".  I even managed to play along in the SC584 challenge with the birthday contribution.  Yay!

While trying to decide which color to use for the 'happy' word die, I cut one each from Crushed Curry and Very Vanilla.  Results?  I opted to use both.  This was really easy, as I used my Silicone Craft Sheet as a work surface, then just laid one "hello" atop the other, and dotted Multipurpose Liquid Glue on several intersecting points of the two word pieces.  The Silicone Craft Sheet doesn't allow adhesives to stick to it, so it was the perfect surface.

The Flower Patch stamp set is actually packed with 19 stamps!  The coordinating Flower Fair Framelits set includes 11 different dies.  So many possibilities!

Pssst!  If you've been considering the amazing-but-true savings of buying $155 SU products of your choice, but paying $99 +tax for the whole shebang ... time is running out.  This offer ends on March 31st, and my exclusive bonus offer ends at the same time. You have no obligation to use your discount at all, but it will be available to you throughout the April, May, & June quarter should you take advantage of the savings.  My email is linked here if you do have other questions.  Yes ... if you've been hoping for a brand new Big Shot,  or a Wish List you felt was a little "out there" ... this is your time.  The savings equates to about 35% ... plus the shipping is free.

Wings & Coral Florals!

Today I've created with a start from the Splitcoaststampers SC583 challenge.

Actually, I needed to join in this sketch challenge upon seeing the sketch's number.
That's right ... the number, 583.

I really haven't given this stamp set it's fair play time on my table, and today's sketch seemed just right for a pretty butterfly's playground of sorts.  The paper is actually just 1 sheet from the Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack, using both sides of one 6" S 6" piece.  The front papers are adhered to a Calypso Coral card base for an extra color splash within.   Gosh ... Winter hasn't even officially handed over it's seasonal title to Spring quite yet, and I'm already leaving the Wintery stuff behind.  Come onnnnnn, Spring!

Okay.  For those still reading, here's the lowdown on the 583.     Quick country fact:  Tiny Town, America typically has a small post office, 1 or 2 people working inside, and 2 or 3 rural mail carriers to deliver mail out of the city limits.  Within the little office are a limited number of P.O. "boxes".  From my middle school years forward, Box 583 received the mail for our family.  I saw the sketch challenge this morning, got a great big smile on my face, and knew that I would try to make time to use the sketch today.   So glad that I did.  Maybe that butterfly was just waiting to flutter out.

Inky ((((hugs))) to you!

Ridiculous Amounts ... Really!

Hi, everyone!  It's afternoon here, but alas, the natural light has given way to "totally gray skies" ... not my fave.  Video-chatted with downline and sideline this afternoon, and was able to finish up something for the FS474 challenge at Splitcoaststampers.  Thus, two fun things in one afternoon!  Yay!

During yesterday's studio class, someone mentioned that she's ordering the Grateful Bunch stamps and coordinating Blossom Bunch punch.  Those words were still whispering in my mind when I checked the SCS challenges, so I decided to bring that set out for today's play!

Hmmmmm .... This may well be my first #i'mbringingbirthdaysback design for March birthdays!  Easy 'n quick to stamp the flower layers, since the flower trio stamps all as one, then ... it punches all at one time as well!
Layer with snipped Stampin' Dimensionals, stamp Wisteria Wonder ink atop same-color yardstick for the color panel, and be sure to adhere the Mint Macaron Dotted Lace Trim before adding the Wisteria panel!  3 tiny Rhinestone Jewels to the flower centers for some bitty bling, and this will mail without extra postage!

Thanks for stopping by today, m'lovelies!  Here's to a delightful new week ... happily moving forward toward Spring, 2016!  Soon, friends ... very soon!
