Irresistible Chick!

What to do with my "almost shameful"stash of fabby papers when there are people who need to receive a card?

I couldn't resist ... I used some of it!

Actually, the stash paper I used is the retired 'Irresistibly Yours' dsp.

But not to worry, because this year's version in the annual catalog is on page 172, "Irresistibly Floral" ... and it's equally beautiful and totally customizable to match the various color palettes of your cards, scrapbook pages, or other paper crafting projects.  All it takes is simple brayering or sponging.  I used our Sponge Brayers from p. 180, which includes 2 handles and 4 roller sponges!

Then I couldn't resist adding a little glam to her feathers with Wink of Stella!

Happily, this hip chick has already flown this coop and is on her way to welcome a new team member.  I hope she likes it!

Hey! You're a Good Egg!

Hey there, stampy friends!   I'd like to introduce you to one of the cutest chicks in my stampin' collection.  She's one of the delightful chickens in the new Hey, Chick stamp set.  Psssst!  This stamp set is in one of the FREE items available during Sale-A-Bration 2017!

The card sketch is from this week's Fab Friday Challenge, FabFri103.
Isn't it perfect for the simple chicken yard setting for this cute hen?

Stamping History Blah-Blah:  Before we started using patterned papers in routine card making, many stampers like myself were so happy when card-front-sized background stamps became available.  This card reminded me of my earlier stamper-self ... loving my little collection of background stamps and using them on a majority of my creations at the time.  Were you stamping "back" then?   I've featured the Hardwood background stamp for the feeling of hen's chicken house today.  How did I color Mama Hen?  With the new Watercolor Pencils found on pg. 24 of the new Occasions catalog!

Sale-A-Bration Scoop:  As you can see, Sale-A-Bration is here!  If you need a Sale-A-Bration catalog or an Occasions 2017 catalog from which to order and to lovingly browse, please let me know!  You'll find each of them in the right-side column here at the blog, ready to download for instant browsing pleasure.  Remember ... Every $50 purchase from any current SU catalog earns one FREE choice from the SAB catalog ... and there's no limit to how many freebies you can gather.

Just checkin' ... ... Is your wish list spilling over, like mine?    Then you should consider purchasing the starter kit 'n joining my team!  You'll earn TWO additional FREE stamp sets of your choice right now when you purchase the kit.  No obligation ... except please enjoy all the new stampy goodies you get!
