Hello Love! (for a camper!)

Hello Love!
Wellllll, okay... ...
Hello Friends!

Actually, 'Hello Love' is the stamp set I'm featuring today.   This is a hostess set* from the new 2014-2015 catalog!

Are you thinking that I made this for a special someone in my life?  Well, you're right!
This is already on its way to my G'son, at his first 'away' summer camp.  I know he took my address along for sending postcards ... but I'm thinking he's likely having way too much fun for thinking about writing to family just now.   LOL

One of my favorite tools is our Envelope Punch Board.  It's so much more than an envelope-maker, as you can see from my file folder pocket card.  I've been using it in recent studio classes for extra creative fun, too.  We would love to have you join us whenever you're in the area!

~
Oh my goodness!  Have I told you about this new 'Dotty Angles' photopolymer stamp set?  I actually thought I would likely use the dotty stamp first ... until I saw the triangle pattern in the All Abloom paper pack.  Loved adding the repeating triangle pattern to the top of my 'file folder'!  Other new catalog items on this card also include the 'Banner Blast' stamp set with coordinating Banner Punch, the 'All Abloom' designer paper pack, plus two new In-Colors:  Mossy Meadow + Tangelo Twist.

Hot Off the Press!!!  It has rained this afternoon in my N. Texas area!  What an awesome sight!  While I was out & about, the clouds looked rain-heavy a few miles east of my address  ... but when I returned, my trees & grass were happily blessed with rains.  Time to virtually Happy Dance in the Puddles!
Inky {{{hugs}}}, Y'all!

Mixed Blooms & Class!

Good morning!

My past few days have been terrific, and I hope yours was the same!  Mine included classes here in the studio last Thursday and Saturday ... and the smile is still on my face ... really.  Indeed, teaching and sharing my joy in stamping is such a delightful part of my life!

These were a few of the stampers enjoying creative fun together here over the past week.  So many times I realize after the fact that I forgot to get pics of the actual class fun in progress ... Glad I remembered for a few brief moments on Saturday!

This was one of our class projects during the past week.  It was fun to incorporate a new-to-them size!  This one measures 3.25" X 6.25" when folded.  If you just happen to have a bitty stash of the "open-end" envelopes Stampin' Up! offered several years ago ... (Uhhmmmm, I'm raising 'my' hand!) ... this card fits perfectly!  Otherwise, grab your trusty SU Envelope Punch Board and make a custom envelope that's easy-peasy and another perfect fit as well!

This card features the popular 'Mixed Blooms' stamp set with matching 'Blossom' punch.  That so-fun sentiment is from the new photopolymer set, 'Endless Birthday Wishes'.  Oooooh, how I adore the many ways to mix the plentiful words & phrases in this set!  Alas, the 'Endless Birthday Wishes' set is temporarily sold out ... but will return soon.  Yay!

Inquiring Minds:  Wanna know what inspired this card?  It came from one of last summer's demonstrator-exclusive magazines from Stampin' Up! with just a bitty change for newer stamps!  (Love that monthly benefit happy mail!)

Now it's time for your own creative adventures!

Bargello Baby!

Every now & then, we all need a cute little baby card to celebrate the arrival of a sweet new blessing!
Honestly, I couldn't resist the new 'Something for Baby' stamp set and its coordinating 'Baby's First Framelits'.

The 'Bargello' technique was shared by my sweet friend, Joan Ervin, in the TLC313 challenge at Splitcoaststampers.  Recently, our Creative Crew challenge CCREW0614HF for June was to celebrate your favorite holiday with a new (to you) technique!  'Lullaby' DSP with the new stamps and framelits.  After all, babies are a celebration as well as a blessing!
Although my original intent was to celebrate Thanksgiving, that theme morphed over to celebrating babies as I combined the new

I've also used one of my multipurpose fave stamp sets here ... can you identify it?  If you join me here in the studio for an upcoming class, chances are you'll leave with a love of your own for that stamp set.  hee hee

Okay .... it's back to my stampin' table for me!  Classes coming up this Thursday and Saturday here, and new projects need to be ready for creative ladies!  You're welcome to check out my schedule over in the lower right corner of my SU website if you'd like to join us at any time!

Happy Stampin', Y'all!

Pssssssssssssssssst!!  Coming up in a couple of days will be another CCREW project featuring more new goodies from the 2014-2015 catalog!  See you very soon!

Favorite Colors?

Now that everyone has settled in with their lovely new cattys-in-hand, let's get back into some new stampin' fun!

The Creative Crew was challenged with:  CCREW0614DF DSP/Color Focus: Show us your favorite color. Try it in a color combo you haven't used before!  Psssssst! Check out the CCREW gallery for lots of inspiration!

Color challenges can be lots of fun ... especially when you have to 'stretch' a little to make your natural choices blend in with the guidelines!  If you haven't given one a try, then this one would be a perfect start!

I've always been a pinks, purply and some greens kinda girl.   So when I first heard just the 'name' of the new In Color, 'Blackberry Bliss' ..... I already knew that it was for me.  A 'done deal' for sure.  Then I 'saw' it IRL (in real life) and practically squealed out loud!

Oh yes ... back to the challenge:

Yep!  My starting point was with a brand new awesome sheet of Blackberry Bliss C/S in hand.  Then I browsed through my hanging files of all other SU cardstocks, repeatedly picking one up then putting it back, until it was right in front of me .... Soft Sky!  I loved it at first sight.

My large scalloped border die was still on my table, and I wondered if I could work that into the card ... and it wasn't long before I could see it all in my mind and simply had to finish it up!  One bitty rhinestone dots the 'i' in 'friend' for a bit of glam to add to the wonderful sheen and subtle sparkle of the Shimmery White cardstock.

I hope you like it!

From Millan.Net And now I have an update from here at Texas Rubber & Ink!

From Millan.Net Welcome, welcome to Julie Scaparra and to Sue Barnett!  I'm so tickled to have both you join the Stampin' Up! family and share the joys and creativtity!

And to my readers, we'd be delighted to welcome you to our group as well.  Check out the 'Join My Team' tab above this blog post for the latest scoop!  Then I welcome to send an email so I can answer any of your questions, and hopefully squeal out loud with your delight as well!   ...
