Stamping 101 & Bye Bye FREE Shipping!

Just a reminder that FREE Shipping ends tonight at 11:50 PM Mountain Time!

This has been a very a popular special indeed.  And of course, I took advantage of the shipping savings myself!

Orders do not have a minimum to qualify ... so even if you just need to refill your favorite cardstock or grab up something before it retires, this is the last day to have it shipped directly to you at no cost for shipping! The free shipping is automatically added to your order until later tonight.    ;)                                  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Extra news here in the studio!   My class schedule is always posted at my 24/7 website, http://beverlygerard.stampinup.net .  Yesterday I received a call from someone who didn't want to wait until my next scheduled class ... and she has never stamped before, although is/was eager to learn!  This morning I came up with some custom ideas just for her, and we spent the early afternoon discovering stamping from the simple basics on up by using the products and actually creating projects that she can use right now!

That's what it's all about for me .... Sharing what I love.   I'm still wearing a huge smile after having bunches of fun learning about inks, cardstocks, stamps, and the smile of satisfaction over creating something to be shared. We made a bit of a mess ... but it's definitely a "FUN" mess!

Have a beautiful weekend, everyone!   I hope yours includes sharing some smiles!

To Infinity and Beyond!!

While I haven't turned into a true scrapper as yet ... I was inspired again to try another digital scrapbook page.  Just like my previous scrap page, this one was developed for another Creative Crew Challenge, CCREW0414SF.    Tex's Tip:  Whenever you're viewing a Splitcoaststampers gallery, clicking on any keyword such as you see in the blue text will take you to all gallery entries for that keywordYou're invited to enjoy & play along in these challenges each month!

Enough chatter ... here's my 2nd effort using MDS!  (My Digital Studio)

We were challenged to use the scrapbook layout found on page 13 of the March/April Stampin' Success demonstrator magazine.   Being a beginner at scrapping, I find it's not nearly as intimidating with a layout to offer guidance.  Nothing has to be exactly the same as the provided layout ... but it's a great place to start!

This darling subject is one of my Grands.  The stamped sentiment is SO appropriate, as he spent literally months pretending to be Buzz Lightyear ... and of course he was "Buzz" for Halloween, too!  I chose the color palette to coordinate with Zeke's fabulous blue eyes and those "Nemo" swim goggles that were practically attached to him for days ... by his determination.   LOL

And as for the elements in this page?  Every single item I used was already included in the My Digital Studio software when I purchased it, including the title sentiment!

CLASS UPDATES!
** Just as an update for local friends, my class this Thursday morning April 10, has only 2 seats left open.  If you would like to join us, please send an email to me via the Contact Bev button located in the left column of my blog!

Yippeeeee Skippeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

As of this morning, I am officially registered for Stampin' Up!'s Convention 2014, coming up later this summer in Salt Lake City, Utah!   If you would like to join me (and a LOT of other delighted demonstrators), you still have time to join my team and make those plans!  Learning couldn't get any better than this ... and the fun is truly immeasurable.  Check the Join My Texas Rubber & Ink! Team tab above for more information, or contact me directly.   Utah or Bust!

Thanks a bunch for your visit!  I hope I've sparked a bit of inspiration for you today!

Criss-Cross Sunshine!

I hope you're ready for a new card!

This one follows the challenge CCREW0414DF:  Use Watercolor Wonder designer series papers, or the colors of Daffodil Delight, Gumball Green, Island Indigo, Smoky Slate, & Tangerine Tango.   Well that was easy ... I'm a big fan of the Watercolor Wonder dsp!  And for that reason, I challenged myself to use designs from the series that I had not previously used ... the other sides of the papers.

Just about the time I was working on this one, I learned that a sweet friend had suffered a heart attack at a stamp show, which resulted in surgery.  So, this became a card with a purpose, with her in mind.  Although she works right in the heart of the stamping industry, she's not really a stamper herself.  I purposely created with colors and a style that she doesn't normally see every day.

I haven't made a criss-cross card in a long time, and I thought it would show off the designer series paper nicely.  Cardstock & ink colors were so easy to choose by just following the colors in the Watercolor Wonder papers!  That's really one of the easiest things about Stampin' Up! ... easy-peasy coordination.

Okay, my stampy-crafty friends!  I'll be back very soon to share another something from my stampin' table with you.  In the meantime, I hope this has given you a bit of inspiration that might lead you to a new creation on your crafty table!

Thanks a bunch for your visits!

Happy 10th Anniversary Grammy Day!     ;)    10 years ago this morning, my very first grandchild was born ... and when my son laid him in my arms ... I was completely speechless!  The love was so overwhelming that I was totally mesmerized with this amazing blessing in my arms.  How can it possibly be 10 whole years already?

And of course, Happy April 1st to everyone!

Today's creation is a part of the new April Creative Crew gallery over at Splitcoaststampers.

The CCREW0414 challenge offers a few choices for inspiration, and I opted to peruse this 2014 Historic Garden Week website.  Even though I'm not a successful gardener here at home, I have a deep passion for floral & foliage beauty, thanks to my amazing Aunt & Uncle.

Believe it or not, this 'concertina fold' card fits into the average envelope that most of us card makers refer to as 'A2' sized.   Really!  If you want to give it a try, check out this tutorial at Splitcoaststampers!

I might never have paired Crushed Curry with Wisteria Wonder if not for both being together in this Afternoon Picnic paper collection ... and I like it!  Glad to have given it a chance.

Okay m'friends!  Hopefully you've found a bit of inspiration here, in some form, to encourage your own creativity.
