I Simply Must Share! * Class

Okay ... I must, must share this with you!

This morning's class attendees included a long, long-time friend and former teaching colleague.  For as long as we've known each other, she (R) has been an avid fan of saving her memories in scrapbooks.  Now she shares that love with her daughter (P), who has picked up the talent and loves making traditional scrapbooks of her own.  Understandable for sure!

Ohhhhh, I know what some of you are thinking!  And yes, my classes have always been limited to "adults-only", with the restriction even being applied to my own Grands.  So, I have to share my one & only "exception" to you today.   P has taken to card-making with a smile & a gotta-love-it-I-already-love-this attitude that is not only inspirational, but amazing & heartfelt in my eyes.  (Or perhaps that's just "proud teacher talk"?)

She has attended one class, and one limited visit here so far, with a private threesome 'lesson' coming up soon.  Take a look a her work so far, after her last class!

Yep!  I have permission to share these.  You just never ever know when someone is going to "make your day"!   Ohhhhh .... did I mention that P is eleven years old?

Okay .... I'll be bee-boppin' back soon to share more from Inspire. Create. Share. 2014 very very soon!   Just had to squeeze this fun tidbit in today.

Convention 2014 Highlights!

Bev's True Confession:  Aaaccck!  I'm having difficulty properly explaining all of my feelings about the past few days at Inspire. Create. Share. convention!

Some appropriate descriptions include:
  • exciting
  • amazing
  • rejeuvenating
  • creatively inspiring
  • inspires business success
  • sharing creativity
  • sharing successes
  • joyful friendships renewed
  • wonderful new friendships begun
  • heartfelt joy
  • overflowing enthusiasm
And I must say, the list above is certainly not finished by any means.   My heart is full, my creative juices are overflowing, and the ideas for business building are swirling around in my mind like Christmas fantasies for children.  WOW-some!

Just for you:   Here's a delightful highlight video of the 2014 Inspire. Create. Share. experience ... just for starters.

I invite you to consider attending Convention 2015 with me next July.  All Stampin' Up! demonstrators are invited to experience this delightful event each year.  For more information on becoming a member of my Texas Rubber and Ink team, please click here, or email me directly any time.

Winging It!

Well my friends, Inspire. Create. Share. 2014 convention is now a sweet memory to be preserved in a future Project Life by Stampin' Up! Album, today's task is winging my way home.

Okay.   So I'm actually using 'wings' provided by Southwest Airlines.  My arms just can't go that distance on my own.  ;)

After several heartfelt 'goodbyes' in SLC, I was blessed to spot a beautiful Splitcoaststampers friend and fellow SU demo while boarding my first flight.  Barbara Welch and I haven't seen each other since the Portlamd Regionals a few years ago ... and today we were able to sit together on the flight to Phoenix!

Now that's the cure for the 'after-goodbyes-blues!!

Time to board my next flight!  I'll be back here very soon with new inspirations to share!

Testing, Testing! 1, 2, 3!

That's right!
This is a test.

Not the kind you'll have to study for taking.  This is a test for me!  (I'm trying to blog from my phone .... Wish me luck!)

What's up in your creative zone today?  I'm working on swaps for Convention 2014!  I just looked out at the thermometer ... Expecting 90-something-in-the-middle.

No 90's.
I'm looking at 106!

Thankful am I to be inside!  A/C is out on the studio, so the inks & I have relocated into the kitchen.
And the dining room.
And the den.

A stamper's gotta do whatever the stamper's gotta do!

Bev

Relocating ...

Yes, just as the name 'Texas Rubber and Ink!' implies ... I'm in Texas.
And Summer has definitely arrived.

For those who might not have been here before (or yet), during a typical Texas Summer, you can expect humidity by the buckets full, and heat that causes thermometers to climb toward the top of the tube. I liken it to Florida ... minus the persistant rain showers.

I've been working at a feverish stampin' pace in an effort to get swaps created for the annual July crush of Stampin' Up! demonstrators spilling out of Salt Lake City's hotels like happy little trick-or-treaters being let loose on all neighborhoods at once.

Mass Production ... in a tidied up photo op

Well ... it's all relocated now ... OUT of the studio.  ...sigh...
I've made countless trips in and out to get supplies, then get forgotten supplies, sit down in the house - only to realize that I need to make another trip to the studio.  (Yay!  Steps count on the FitBit!!)

This is what happens when your air conditioner dies a quick but miserable death in the heart of a Texas Summer.
From Millan.Net
Lucky am I that the A/C works fine in the house.  But the estimated replacement of the air handler portion in the studio attic would pay for 2 trips to convention with expenses included such as air fare, hotel, + food.

Hmmmmmmm .... Looks like I've got my next year's work "cut out for me" now!   Yeeeeeeeeeeeeehawwwwwwwwwwwww!!  I'm headed to the right place to keep the happy mojo in motion!  (And the new A/C will be installed next week.  Whew!!)

Just let me know if you'd like to join the delightful Texas Rubber and Ink team!  Contact me any time, and I'll save a spot just for you!

May the Crankin' Force Be With Me!

Uh-ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

It seems that practically as soon as I posted here yesterday ... my day was no longer in 'my control'.

My phone was either ringing or receiving texts at a near-record pace for a supposedly "quiet" Sunday afternoon.  If I wasn't talking to callers, I was replying to texts.  I even had to ask one speedy-texter to please wait until I finished up a call!

When it rains ... it pours.   But it was actually a dry day here in N. Texas.

Then I received a notice that friends would be stopping in for a little break on their drive North from the southernmost area of Texas.

... ...Wait just a dog-gone minute ... ...

So now add in a dust cloth and a quick broom to the aforementioned rash of activity ... pronto!

But don't forget dinner either.   That was settled with a brief trip about 1.5 miles down the road.  Whew!

So ...

Guess what's on my agenda for today????

Looks eerily familar doesn't it?

And oh yes .... The answer to yesterday's question was/is:
#4!
  • Picture me at the Big Shot, cutting out all of the above ... plus more elements to cut as well.

  • THIS is what convention swapping does to otherwise-basically-rational people!

Happy New Week to You!
Oh .... if you're working on swaps too, just bring'em over & we'll have a swappin' assembly day!   ;)

What Time Is It?

It's Crankin' Time in the studio!

Can you guess what I'm doing today?

Multiple Choice:
  1. "mass production"
  2. laughing at scissors
  3. lots of Big Shot play time
  4. all of the above
 My afternoon is definitely planned!
